Defence is looking much more solid compared to the first half of the season; CCV seems to have made a big difference and is a premiership CB in the making.
Oh but haven't we missed out on industry and energy in the wide areas. Carayol showed that he could be an excellent addition; not only his goal but his creativity, running and taking others on was so refreshing to see. Not very fit though.
If only we'd been able to add the injection of quality we needed in the wide areas and up front in January, as the likes of Waghorn and Garner clearly need the opportunity to have a break and they are not going to get it. Poor old Freddie is not a genuine answer to this because he's just not good enough.
Still was a good win, couldn't help but sigh when Hyam came on for Carayol as you could pretty much guess what our approach to the second half was going to be. |  |

Terrific result and without a doubt we look a much tougher proposition defensively since CCV’s arrival. The goals have dried up the other end though. Interesting how we seem to get one end sorted then the other end coughs and splutters. I’m not fooled into thinking the play offs are a possibility as there are too many sides consistently better than us as MM alluded to at the presser.
