Forget quality as a footballer for a moment
at 22:11 1 Sep 2025

But Town have let so many big characters leave this summer. Guys like Chaplin are essential to the dressing room and community aspect of the club. Him, Ogbene, Morsy, Luongo, Burgess- that's a hell of a lot of dressing room character gone.

Not sure I see their replacements in that respect in the new batch but sure I am also biased. We have been on one hell of a journey with these players. Overriding feeling right now is one of sadness.

And as he was first in during the Cook demolition years, it feels fitting for Burns to be the last out.

Time to end the Clarke gambit
at 17:53 23 Aug 2025

It's failed. He cannot play the way we want and need a wide player in this team to play. We've got to take the loss on the chin and get him a club if possible, probably on loan, because he is just baggage and a burden on the team.

I feel desperately sorry for him, can't find it in my heart to be mad. But whoever the Clarke was at Sunderland is not the Clarke at Ipswich

I know this will get mega downvotes

Some good solid team building performances against decent opposition.

Only issues are the injuries which are an inevitable part of football.

Re: transfers, patience. We don't throw stupid money around, we don't behave desperately, we play a long game with the players we want and have usually ended up getting them.

Inevitably the likes of Hutchinson leave like Delap before him but this gives us flexibility and headroom in return.

McKenna and Ashton have earned the right to our patience and belief. They've done nothing to burn that away

welcome to the club, Mr Bamford.

I mean if people stopped being deliberately provocative and knowingly tvvattish, they wouldn't have to be banned or have content removed would they.

Sitters was very deliberately homophobic so can probably count himself lucky to just have had his comment removed.

So sick of fan criticism
at 22:58 14 Feb 2023

Ipswich fans have been unreal in their support and backing of this club over the last 4 years, in spite of the constant let downs and capitulations on the pitch. We are witnessing yet another capitulation and patience is wearing thin, whereas with most other fan bases it would be gone.

Players, coaches and managers have no place to hide. They have the backing of the owners, they have had amazing backing on the terraces, they have had investment in facilities way beyond what is normal for a third tier club.

And they are not delivering.

Nope. His brand of football is nice on the eye when it works, but it's not a brand that gets you out of this awful division

Teams who go up don't chuck points in the last minute
at 18:12 14 Jan 2023

They win points in the last minute.

Plymouth, Fleetwood, Charlton. And that's before you add in all those other games we chucked points from winning positions. Reckon we are right up there for points conceded from winning positions this season.

3 league wins in 10, we are on a downwards trajectory.

So different, and yet the outcomes are the same old sh1te as the last 20 years.
