Congratulations to my local club, promoted back to the National League at the first time of asking!

I may try and fit in a few games next year in addition to watching town.

From having done relief shifts in Braintree a few times in my life I have to say they adore football and their local team in a massive way, it makes a change from Chelmsford who seemed to be a more keen to discuss either Tottenham or Chelsea over their local club.

Does anyone think it strange how often the team which falls behind in penalty shoot-out goes on to win.

So true - Pressure swings!
I wonder if they use the ABBA system or the old system.

Today's Braintree game was the old way - ABAB etc. First pen, Hampton scored, Braintree missed.

My local team also! And how they done it was amazing! Each play off game in the new eliminator was away from home! Only conceded one goal and won 2 of the 3 on penalties! With a completely new squad and manager going up at the first time of asking was impressive! They were unlucky in the play offs two years ago under Danny Cowley. Hopefully they stay up!

Brilliant news isn't it? They have been on an incredible run in recent months and to win all three playoff games away from home is amazing.

Brad Quinton has shown that a legendary player going back as manager can work.

Congratulations Braintree Town on your promotion. I also see Harrogate Town AFC won the National League North Play Off final, so they'll be joining you in the National League next season.
