He seems to have come here for a "this is my career on the line" approach and that he knows if things go wrong he will be to blame. I can't fault him for being a bit more honest and blunt with the players as he seems to know that he has more to lose than them.

Saying that the last manager we had who ruffled the players didn't go so well (though saying that neither did Jewell's 'your're all my best mates' approach).

I am pleased he's come in and said what most of us were thinking anyway. Mick worked wonders with that mob keeping them up, some forget aside from Lawrence we were relegated a few seasons back and many of those players are still at the club.
