Man City played a weaker side against Watford this evening and beat them. At the same time their U23's played Barnsley's first team in the JPT or whatever it is called... and won. How can any club ever compete with the strength and depth of that? Crazy.
I really don't understand why Prem U-23 sides are allowed to play in the JPT. It's the 'Football League Trophy' and was designed to allow lower league teams a prestigious Wembley final.
How lovely though, that the big guns of our footballing nation are allowed to swan in and deprive the lower lights their chance of glory. U-23 or not, it's still Man City and like already said, they still have the resources to eat up the glory while still preserving their top players.
