As a self employed tradesman last job of the year today about lunchtime. Van parked on clients drive on an incline had been in job for over an hour and van decided to roll off drive across road into clients car parked on opposite side of road.. dents to both side doors. Very lucky nobody was walking when van decided to roll.. Feeling awful about it and a definite insurance job. How do you go about this incident with insurance company?? Don’t want to make things worse for myself..

I would imagine contact your insurers and leave it with them. It really depends on whether it is feasible to pay the repairs to the client's satisfaction without using your insurer and it costing you any less. Maybe some reduction on their bill for the inconvenience.
In future always park your van in gear (and start the engine with your foot on the clutch or ensure you have definitely taken it out of gear before starting the engine).
