Time to start 'Evans out' protests? 08:56 - Feb 10 with 4052 views | EvansOut | Hopefully people are starting to see a common trend in the club over the last 15 years, no ambition, no bottle and no money. Easy to blame the managers over the years aka McCarthy, Lambert, but people must realise that it stems from the top and the lack of funds put into the club has put us in this position. January for me topped it all off, sitting in a good position in the league to push for promotion, and when you are in that position you need to invest, even in loanees. | |

A club with a record of producing England managers, international players and impressive history. Yes, a while ago, but the name has a much better sound and benefit to him than say Millwall, Oldham or even Bournemouth. This suits ME the businessman and basically he doesn't care what league ITFC play in."I own ITFC and will do so as long as it benefits me. Much has been written about the tax benefits etc. but the fact is whatever money he puts into ITFC it does not impinge apon his personal wealth. The self centred man will own ITFC for as long as his ego allows, no matter how much we protest. |
Nicely put together post, in connection with another thread (which I can see being pulled before the day is out) I had a squint at the Wikipedia page for Marcus Evans and noted that his ownership of Town was the first thing mentioned: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Evans Click through to THG and there we are again: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/THG_Sports Now I like Wikipedia (despite once getting a severe reprimand for my contribution to a well known recording artist's page) but I know that the lawyers can get their hands on things and buff up some facets whilst suppressing others. The 1962 league championship is prominent even though that was long before Evans bought into the club. Events in Rio during 2016 get no mention, even when you go to the BBC story which has a link to subsequent updates there are none. I wonder if Bolsonaro's election came at an opportune time for our owner? [edit] omitted link to THG Wikipedia page, now inserted. [Post edited 10 Feb 2020 13:39]
