Evans out protests?
at 09:13 24 Feb 2020

I don't know if anyone still has faith in Evans after Saturday. It's easy to turn on Lambert but the money hasn't been there for him which obviously makes him look bad. Since Evans took over, things have only gone backwards, we went from talking about the Premier League, to now talking about playing League One football for a second season and things look like they could get worse. Personally, the most frustrating thing is that he gave Hurst a license to sell all of our best players and then spend money on absolute twod, whereas McCarthy didn't have a penny to spend and still managed to keep us competitive in the Championship, where would we be if McCarthy had cash? His signings weren't brilliant, but he had an eye for a bargain (Waghorn, Webster, McGoldrick). Apart from Wolf and Flynn, cannot think of one positive for this season, and it looks likely that we will lose them in the summer... Time to start serious protests for Evans to go. Will turn sour, but the only way the fans can have a say in the outcome of our once great football club.

Time to start 'Evans out' protests?
at 08:56 10 Feb 2020

Hopefully people are starting to see a common trend in the club over the last 15 years, no ambition, no bottle and no money. Easy to blame the managers over the years aka McCarthy, Lambert, but people must realise that it stems from the top and the lack of funds put into the club has put us in this position. January for me topped it all off, sitting in a good position in the league to push for promotion, and when you are in that position you need to invest, even in loanees.

Lamberts Transfer business
at 11:28 11 Jan 2019

Have to say, am loving the business Lambert is doing.

- Callum Elder - Good LB, still got a point to prove in the Championship, but what better way to show his colours than a relegation battle
- Will Keane - Good addition, still a lot to prove in the league. Frequent to injuries but a great physical presence to have
- Collin Quaner - Experienced in championship and prem, big presence, great work rate, can play as a winger and CF. Will scrap for everything.
- James Collins - Good experienced CB, required to come in and settle the defence down.
- Alan Judge? - would be a really good addition, can play both wide and central, small, tricky and quick, would be a great addition to a fairly young squad.

All on short term deals, but with the potential of deals in the summer.

Not forgetting that he has tied Lankaster down on a longer contract.

With these additions we will have a mix between experience and youth. Could be a very interesting end to the season.

Feeling the Lambert Love
at 16:47 10 Jan 2019

Have been very impressed with the town boss since he came in the door. Seems a genuine guy. Firstly inviting Legends to the training ground. What a small but mighty gift this is. No other Town manager has done that. Showing an interest in the history is a key way to gain support and he is doing a very good job in mending the cracks left behind by Hurst. The football has improved significantly and you can see that he is trying to bring a completely different style of play to the club. Unfortunately, some of the players left behind are not of the quality that he would like, but he is getting the best out of them. He is also supporting the youth system at the club, with the likes of Lankaster and Downes shining under him. Another critical way to win back the fans as we know the history of the academy. He is also attracting players to play here, with Elder, Keane, Collins and especially Quaner wanting to come here and play considering the position. Very clear that he has contacts around the prem clubs.
He has also made it clear that he needs funds and looks to be pushing Marcus like no other manager at the club has before. This is encouraging as he knows what it is going to take to bring this club back to its best.
The fact he is ex-Norwich add's to the sweetness. He was their most successful manager getting back to back promotions and getting them to finish in the top half of the prem. Thats the equivalent to them taking Burley after he got us in Europe. How angry would we be?
Hopefully he can keep us up, however if not, he is the perfect man to stay and get us back up by developing youth and experience in League 1(and hopefully achieving back to back promotions).

In my opinion, we are lucky to have him. Especially considering the position we are in (Although it is not his fault).

Needless to say, I am feeling the Lambert Love.

Pilkington & Quaner goals?
at 10:06 8 Jan 2019

Pleased with both signings. Both a lot better then we currently have. Pilkington on a perm contract a good move, can only think that he will be on a big wage but contract only runs to the end of season. Quaner a good loan addition to be fair, still got something to prove. Tall pacey CF who can play as a winger too, fits the bill really. Love to see them both hit the ground running and keep us up, if so, get them both back next year on perm contracts. Realistically though, neither have amazing goalscoring records, but in this team they will shine.
I think Pilkington will grab 8 by the end of the season and Quaner 13.

Jordan Spence the worst player in ITFC's history? If not who?

Amazed that Spence still starts every week when we have Emmanual out on loan. If Spence isn't the worst player to put on the top week after week, then who is?

Evans OUT!
at 10:10 7 Jan 2019

Surely after the weekend Evans has to go?
Personally, never been so low as town fan and there is nothing to look forward to at the moment.
Seems like Lambert is getting frustrated with the lack of money and is struggling to build. I feel for the bloke.
We still have a chance of staying up if Evans puts his hand in his pocket and gets some good loans in (Gestede, Leadbitter etc). Never going to happen thought and I think all town fans can see that.
Just cant see us coming back up if/when relegation eventually comes. Think we could be stuck in a rut.
Personally I think Evans has ruined the club, proves that you can't get out of this league without spending money, just look at the 3 teams that won promotion last season.
Evans neither needs to put his hand in his pocket, or leave, preferably the latter as it seems he has no heart in the club he 'supports'.
