Evans out protests?
at 09:13 24 Feb 2020

I don't know if anyone still has faith in Evans after Saturday. It's easy to turn on Lambert but the money hasn't been there for him which obviously makes him look bad. Since Evans took over, things have only gone backwards, we went from talking about the Premier League, to now talking about playing League One football for a second season and things look like they could get worse. Personally, the most frustrating thing is that he gave Hurst a license to sell all of our best players and then spend money on absolute twod, whereas McCarthy didn't have a penny to spend and still managed to keep us competitive in the Championship, where would we be if McCarthy had cash? His signings weren't brilliant, but he had an eye for a bargain (Waghorn, Webster, McGoldrick). Apart from Wolf and Flynn, cannot think of one positive for this season, and it looks likely that we will lose them in the summer... Time to start serious protests for Evans to go. Will turn sour, but the only way the fans can have a say in the outcome of our once great football club.

Serious question for the Evans outers
at 14:59 10 Feb 2020

We would have gone from an owner who spends no money, to an attractive club to purchase. The foundations of a Sheffield Utd/Wolves type club...

Agreed there is some promising things happening with the players through the academy etc. BUT, you are saying 'give it time', however Evans has been here for over 10 years and we've gone backwards? Football has become a spending sport, look at the amounts being splashed on players not even in the prem, but in championship and league one. We will never compete with that and will never spend, therefore what hope do we have of going up?
No offence - but in my opinion, anyone who still believes that the club is heading in the right direction, and says 'give it time', and that Evans is doing a good job is delusional. Its been over a decade and things have got worse and worse. If this was any other club, we would be saying 'isnt it sad that the club is going backwards' or 'I feel sorry for the fans', so why is it so wrong to say something as a fan of the club?

Unlike Evans, I am a town fan and care about the club. If only I could 'be like Evans'...

Agreed, will always get behind the team come kick off. But, the most frustrating thing is when you see where the club is compared to where it should be. Everyone is very quick to blame Lambert and other previous managers, but in my opinion, the owner is the issue and hopefully everyone is starting to see that...

Look at the gran scheme of things, even before Evans took over, including when he took over, we were talking about Premier League. Now we are talking about beating MK Dons in League One. Hats off to you for the hope that you have, but just look at the bigger picture over the last 15 years!

When is a good time? Never a 'good time' in football to protest, but only doing it for the love of the club...

0 points in the last 3, haven't beaten a 'top six' side this season, but yeah we still stand a chance...
Even IF we did go up this year, do you really think the current squad is good enough to stay up? No, and do you think that Evans would invest in the summer to strengthen to stay up? No...

Hopefully people are starting to see a common trend in the club over the last 15 years, no ambition, no bottle and no money. Easy to blame the managers over the years aka McCarthy, Lambert, but people must realise that it stems from the top and the lack of funds put into the club has put us in this position. January for me topped it all off, sitting in a good position in the league to push for promotion, and when you are in that position you need to invest, even in loanees.

Best Midfield 3 From??

Like to see Huws, Judge with Bishop/Dozzell rotating.

Need a bit of a mix of experience and youth. Judge & Huws are experienced. Bishop has been injured a lot over the years so has missed out on game time, same with Dozzell, so have to ease them both in at an equal pace. Both similar players. Would love to see them playing alongside each other next year.

Lamberts Transfer business

I think given the circumstances, the experience is required to get us out of the relegation zone. Think IF this is achieved, should see a lot more of the Youth's next season. Even if it is not and we get relegated, then we will probably see a lot more of the Youths than we would if we stayed up.

Lamberts Transfer business
at 11:28 11 Jan 2019

Have to say, am loving the business Lambert is doing.

- Callum Elder - Good LB, still got a point to prove in the Championship, but what better way to show his colours than a relegation battle
- Will Keane - Good addition, still a lot to prove in the league. Frequent to injuries but a great physical presence to have
- Collin Quaner - Experienced in championship and prem, big presence, great work rate, can play as a winger and CF. Will scrap for everything.
- James Collins - Good experienced CB, required to come in and settle the defence down.
- Alan Judge? - would be a really good addition, can play both wide and central, small, tricky and quick, would be a great addition to a fairly young squad.

All on short term deals, but with the potential of deals in the summer.

Not forgetting that he has tied Lankaster down on a longer contract.

With these additions we will have a mix between experience and youth. Could be a very interesting end to the season.

Feeling the Lambert Love

His contract runs for 2 1/2 years.
Plus he needs a club to really establish himself again after the short appointments at Villa and Stoke.

Even if he doesn't, we have an excellent manager to build for the future.
