As a frontline health worker, my overtime rates have been considerably increased due to the current situation. All extra shifts will be paid at 150% (double plus a half), up from 100%. Extended shifts, first 4 hours, 100% (Double bubble),up from 50% (time and a half) then 150% after that.
I feel quite embarrassed, what with so many people being laid off, but the general public seem to support the rise. I don't feel like a hero and my thoughts are with those who are struggling. [Post edited 9 Apr 2020 13:01]
