In this week where we remember those who fought for our freedom, I think this film really brings home the horrible reality of war. After watching it, I have so many questions as to how we as a nation celebrate victory. The whole Falklands conflict was so unnecessary and anyone who celebrates it with a 'Rule Britannia' attitude should watch from start to finish, preferably on a big screen.
He was keeper for IK Start in the 70s. Anyway, he reckons he was on the Town bench when we beat Man Utd 6-0. Not sure if he meant as a sub or just as a guest. Anyone know who was reserve keeper that day?
However, if you're a neutral but wish to see an English based club win the CL, surely you'd rather City had won? Personally I fel no connection with any of the big English clubs and care not who wins the CL.
Was browsing details of our summer holiday and noticed the price had gone down by a total of about 600 quid. Mailed the travel firm and asked if they could offer me the same price, but of course they said no. So I asked how much cancelling would cost. About 50 quid per person. So I cancelled for a a hundred quid and rebooked at 600 cheaper. Result.
The atmosphere around our club has never been better. Why does it matter which league we're in? Supporting a football club is about hopes and dreams, regardless of the opposition. If the amazing atmosphere continues I will be a very proud Ipswich fan.
I don't care which league we're in and the efforts of Blue Action and Paul Lambert seem to have brought the community feel back to ITFC, something that has been deteriorating for years. I'm going to make the effort to come over for a few games and hopefully, once again, enjoy being a part of something special. That's all.
