Game featured a Colin Harper thunderbolt! Cracking goal. It's on net' somewhere! Plenty of the 'Boot Boy' look going on, in a post suedehead world. The butchers/lab coat look about to come in!

It was my first move away from Suffolk and I was working at County Hall Chelmsford. The relief at winning and avoiding the total p*ss take on the Monday was monumental.
When Chelmsford scored their late consolation goal one of their supporters had a fatal heart attack.
It was plain sailing with Burleys early goal as Viljoen pointed out afterwards.

Harper scored Town's first goal with a fierce shot after a dubiously awarded free kick. Burley didn't make his Town debut until December 1973.
Official attendance was 15,557 & yes, it was a crush. Was an all ticket game & the attendance was short of the ground record of 16,807. I believe they printed 18,000 tickets & just as well that they didn't sell all of them.

Poll: Should horse racing be banned in the UK?
