Typo in the main headline? 11:23 - Jan 30 with 253 viewsNthsuffolkblue

Surely, should say "now ready to" rather than "not ready to"!

Defeat against Crewe will leave us at least 10 points, maybe 13 off the automatic places. That means we would need to make up that gap as well as maintaining automatic promotion form on top of that. Automatic promotion is around 2 points per game. We would need 40-46 points PLUS the 10-13 points on top of that for top two. In other words, we will need 50-60 points from 23 games. That is a minimum of winning 14 games if we didn't lose any - a win percentage of 60.9%! Alternatively at the top end, only losing 3 out of 23 while winning all the rest.

Mathematically, automatic promotion would take half a season of form beyond that achieved by any manager we have had since Mick O'Brien.

The play offs is a pipe dream as it is and, even if we could improve enough to make them, we stand no chance in them as we are currently set up.

Our only hope is a new manager can take us into the play offs and make us good enough to win them. There is not a manager anywhere that could turn our form into what is needed for automatic promotion. Lambert has shown no signs of being a manger capable of making the play offs with us and certainly not of winning them.
