A conviction politician...at least you are left in no doubt that she speaks from the heart and means what she says. Wish there were more like her. Very good on Andrew Marr just now.

...yep....on a local, fully accountable locally, level.

However, the risk of going too local is you end up with a situation like the USA, where there are a multiplicity of competing layers, juristictions and forces, each one pretty much a law unto themselves. Criminal organisations can also exploit those geographical limits to escape detection and apprehension.

What we really need is not so much to break and redesign the system, as to improve oversight of what we already have. Plus bringing it back down to a more local level (as it used to be) with "officers on the beat", local stations and community involvement.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

She’s a populist 100%. Far too centre for the Labour Party. She doesn’t have that much political credit. I was no Corbyn fan but she was very sly and frankly a bit snaky in how she dealt with that. She was also terrible in the leadership hustings/interviews. Someone who cosies up to Jacob Rees Mogg shouldn’t run the Labour Party.

That being said I think she is a very good minister for women’s and has spoke passionately about domestic abuse among other topics.

Her leading that department, yep. Her leading the Party, nope.
