This is like night and day, the new approach vs Evans - people getting signed in a sensible timeframe, no quibbling over a few grand to the end of the window only to miss out, and forlornly chasing one or two targets only to miss out.

This is inspiring stuff, can’t wait for the new season. They all seem very decent sensible buys, not breaking the bank but potential to improve, promising that the clubs fans seem genuinely disappointed to lose these players.

We do seem to have missed out, if media reports of targets are correct

pretty much all previous signings were 'very decent sensible buys'

as to breaking any bank I think supporters have massively scaled back their expectations as to the players we will be signing

however the transformation of the coaching etc side of things suggest that at last we have the set up to develop players, and get the best out of them

that's what encourages me

We will of course have missed out too, but this is a step up , last season we signed Hawkins and Ward. Hardly comparable to what’s happening now.
