Shrubland Hall 21:49 - Jan 12 with 604 viewsNthsuffolkblue

Saw an article about this in the EADT a couple of weeks ago and thought I would Google it. Found this article: https://houseandheritage.org/2019/05/17/shrubland-hall/ and then read this:

The East Anglian Daily Times visited the Shrubland Park Walk — a public right of way that passes through the grounds — in 2017. “The hall appeared an unlikely retreat for any film or music star. The only sign of activity was an older man chopping wood with a chainsaw. Many of the outbuildings appeared in disrepair and the vast grounds left overgrown.”

Little wonder it has fallen into disrepair if there is an older man chopping wood with a chainsaw!

Entry requirements for local journalism can't be very high.

Made me think of this guy.

Great article, my mum worked there for many years when it was a health farm.

She was in quite a senior role and had loads of great stories of many of the guests, it was quite an ‘A’ List of the great and the good at the time including royalty, Princess Margaret was a visitor…..she really wasnt’t very nice by all accounts!
