The Isle of Wight (/waɪt/) is a county and the largest and second-most populous island of England. It is in the English Channel, between two and five miles off the coast of Hampshire, from which it is separated by the Solent.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_Wight

But more importantly, has a Town player even been on holiday there let alone be born there.

Isle of Wight, island, unitary authority, and geographic country, part of the historic county of Hampshire.

So - who knows

I have a feeling John Compton lives there.

That's deep, deep Town trivia, Phil. I am putting John Compton (who I have never heard of, in my defence I was out of the country when he played for us) down as the representative for Tower Hamlets in your honour.

Now updated for London boroughs but I haven't filled many in, so plenty of opportunity to fill in gaps (and pick holes in what I've done so far...I can get a bit broadbrush at times.)

If the Leicester v Forest games later on gets boring then I may split the Suffolk ones a bit more too, even the Norfolk ones...and Great Manchester and Glasgow too. But Leicester aren't that boring these days, are they?

Sorry, already have Mariner down for Greater Manchester...but I will research her if I break out Manchester into the districts.

[edit] We can indeed accommodate both Paul Mariner (Metropolitan borough - Bolton (ulp)) and Barabara Knox (Metropolitan borough - Oldham), only problem is I cannot find any record of Rita Tanner making an appearance for Town.

Sadly John Savident, according to IMDB, did not act in 'Escape to Victory'. You would have thought his agent could have pointed out to John Huston that there was an actor with experience of living under Nazi occupation:

Yes, I am still keeping half an eye on this thread and Phil's 'Hall of Fame' article has reminded me about Lee Bracey - so we now have an entry for the esteemed London Borough of Barking.

Also, apologies to fans of Stuart Slater , the former representative for Suffolk: Babergh, but I felt I had to replace him with Basil Acres once I knew the latter was a son of Brantham.
