Long time supporter and lurker on TWTD but feel now is the time to write my first post.
We are all aware of the current situation in Ukraine and the surge in popular support for the Ukrainian people throughout the world. I would like Ipswich Town to lead the way in demonstrating their support. I have several proposals in ascending order of difficulty to implement:
1. From now until the end of the season, Town should play in their blue shirts but with yellow shorts and socks.
2. Town should introduce a paler blue shirt, more in line with the Ukrainian flag colour, and play in those. A limited edition run could be made and sold with proceeds donated to Ukrainian humanitarian charities.
3. Encourage all English league clubs to play in blue shirts/yellow short and socks for their home games. Away teams could play in yellow shirts, blue shorts and socks.
4. Encourage all European teams to play in those colours.
Think of the impact of all teams in football showing their support in this way.

Welcome to TWTD.

IMO, we would be better off just donating money to one of the charities.

I admire the sentiment but that idea is very much something that broadcasts how much we care but ultimately achieves nothing.

Maybe it would be a good idea for one match in European A leagues where superstar players might have enough sway on normal Russians to question Putin but I think the likes of Town doing it would be pretty pointless other than making people feel like they are actually doing something.

Truly impaired.

Ukraine flags with a dove on them, sewed onto the sleeves of all professional league teams. Simple and symbolic.
