Totally agree, why do you need to close that much of a road! Although we also saw a nasty accident which may have closed it further up. Hope everyone got home safe.

Are they doing works? Or is it all just down to the accident? Was on the southbound side between Capel St Mary and the East Bergholt turn-off. One car on its side and another a bit mangled. Not sure about how those involved fared.

Think it was planned roadworks, Colchester bypass was closed, hope those in the accident are OK.
