The passes Celina spots 12:07 - Aug 8 with 2294 views | STYG | Will be interested to see how McKenna adapts moving forward. On Saturday I noticed three or four times that we broke where Ladapo did brilliantly to find a gap for a ball to play him in but Morsy, Chaplin, Evans and then Aluko didn’t spot it and played a little ball sideways losing that chance. That’s the ball Celina saw last season for Burns against Charlton and Burns against Plymouth and I think for Jackson against Burton too. Hopefully part of the analysis will be for players to get their heads up there, look for that pass and if it’s not on then play the pass they ended up playing. Jackson made a similar run late on too. Really impressed Saturday but that’s the one thing I’ve noticed that we’ve lacked a little bit in the opening two games. The vision to see those runs.

It might not be Morsy or Evans' first instinct or that it comes naturally to them, but it is something that can be improved on in training so that relationship can be improved. Lets get something straight, it's not that I found it 'offensive' it's the fact we continually go on about a player that is no longer here and has no influence on our play, so for me it's a pointless discussion. That's how I see it. Focus on what we do have is what I'm saying. Good observations for you, so credit there but from what I have seen in the first two league games there have been encouraging signs for me our play has been improved from last season. |
'Sorry, but I'm going to disagree with you on this'. 'It might not be Morsy or Evans' first instinct or that it comes naturally to them, but it is something that can be improved on in training so that relationship can be improved'. You're disagreeing with me by agreeing with me? I'm not continually going on about a player who isn't here. I'm mentioning an attribute Ladapo and how it's not been capitalised on and how I hope Morsy and Evans are coached to look for the pass. Which is what you've now said yourself. Whilst apparently disagreeing!

I've said it because you refer to it in your posts. Before this all gets rather petty, lets put a pin in it and see what happens over the coming weeks and months we are two games into a new campaign, no side is the finished article yet. Although you might not go on about Celina, plenty do, but it's about time 'we' all moved on. [Post edited 8 Aug 2022 14:52]

We now have a much more mobile, athletic and skilful set of attacking players, so it's not clear to me that looking back to last season serves any real purpose.
