Will the ECL league final still happen in Portugal?
at 07:16 14 May 2021

Seems bizarre we have two English clubs in the final and during this pandemic they have to play the match in another country. Will the tie get moved again due to the Portuguese Government extending their country’s lockdown? Thought the attraction of moving the tie to Porto was that fans of both clubs could attend, that looks very doubtful now.

FA Youth Cup tie.

More than holding their own against Liverpool and they are relentless in their pressing, the game looks there for the taking for them. COYBs!

I’m really surprised so many are being retained
at 18:51 10 May 2021

There’s quite a few names I’ve found hugely underwhelming reading they’ll be with us again next season. Perhaps that’s just me?! Disappointed for Nydam, if some of the others are being retained for being little better than abject for the last couple of seasons, surely it was worth giving him an extra year to see how he went?!

A quick mention about Wycombe Wanderers
at 14:34 8 May 2021

I know the focus is far from them today and they aren't everyone's favourite 'plucky' side the way they conducted themselves towards the end of the last campaign to get promotion, but you can't fault the fight they've shown to stay up this season. Just further highlights what a pathetic effort we made to remain in the Championship when a side like Wycombe with far less finance and pedigree can give it a real go.

Canelo vs. Billy Joe Saunders

Whose your money on? I really do feel Saunders will surprise a lot of people, perhaps a little underrated by many. Should be a real good fight.

No point now messing about

We aren’t making the play offs, PC might as well have those tough conversations starting tomorrow morning and tell those that won’t be offered a new contract that they should start looking for a new club as they won’t be playing here now. Saturday and for the remaining league games play some of the U23 squad with those players that are being retained. I really don’t care it’s Charlton who are up next, those younger players will want to perform, have that hunger and enthusiasm to play for the shirt, ingredients which we are severely lacking at the moment. PC has given this squad enough rope over the last 10 games and they’ve hung themselves by delivering nothing. Time to move on now and accept we are in L1 for at least for another season, but let’s stop playing those players that are on the way out, let’s see what the younger players can do in these next 5 league games, it can’t be any worse?!

No, thought not.

This easy run-in is working out well?!
at 17:00 10 Apr 2021

Only Bristol Rovers and Northampton have scored less goals than us in L1 this season. Just wish the sides above us would put us out of our misery and make the play offs an impossibility a 5 point gap would be sufficient, PC can then start his pre season early. This is a long painful death.

This summer is what the club has been craving for sometime
at 10:51 6 Apr 2021

Manager-wise we are in capable hands with PC at the helm, he's got a proven track record at this level, knows the ingredients needed to be successful and more importantly he's achieved this in recent seasons. We all know our squad is far too big, probably a similar size in terms of numbers to one of an EPL side. We need to get the next 8 games out of the way, the play offs aren't achievable even if you are the most optimistic Town fan and then allow PC to do his job. Sweep the club clean, keep those that are are showing willingness, the right attitude and potential and then add to with players PC knows that can deliver. Ideally, a far smaller squad of quality more than quantity, but for PC this is a unique and an exciting opportunity to build a side he wants from scratch. For this to change it is going to take time to embed, there's too much water under the bridge for this to happen overnight. Regardless of recent displays, I still very much feel hopeful for us in the long term and I'm especially looking forward to seeing what develops over the next few months, but I think that's more me accepting our fate that L1 is our destination for another season for quite a while now. If ME is able to move on too, things really are looking up!!

When does our easy run-in start?

Just wondering if those in the know could elaborate? Asking for a friend.

No need to listen to the nonsense from some with this easy run-in....
at 16:56 5 Apr 2021

This side aren't making the top 6, might as well start giving some of the U23s their opportunity with the remaining games left. Easy run in? We make football the most difficult game in the world. This wounded animal limps along for another week, needs putting out of its misery.

When does this easy run-in start then?
at 16:50 2 Apr 2021

Yet another struggle against a side languishing near the foot of the table. We might be in and around the top 6, but realistically we are so far away from it as a side.

Less talking, more action

Well once again those same players have shown that the Top 6 is totally out of their reach and capability. Time to accept that the countdown should be for the summer, not the fantasy that this lot can deliver a run of victories to see us make a late promotion push. An easy run-in you say? Not for us.

Can someone explain to me please....
at 15:54 14 Mar 2021

when a player wins the ball first with a fair tackle, but the follow through then catches the player, how are they meant to control that? I just don’t think it is physically possible to simply stop yourself, isn’t that against all the laws of physics? I’m watching Leicester’s Tielmanns rolling about and screaming on the floor, but he’s that injured that he still has the time to look up and see if the referee has booked the Sheffield United player. Modern football will just end up with no tackling.
