P18 W10 D7 L1. He’s not done a bad job has he? It’ll be interesting to see how they adjust to life in the Championship, but I really feel they are in a safe pair of hands and he knows that league well. |
 | Forum Thread | FA Youth Cup Final tonight at 13:09 11 May 2022
Man Utd vs Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford, they are expecting a crowd of 63,000+, Forest are taking a following of over 5K! I appreciate that pricing has probably played a huge part, but what an experience for those young players, playing in front of a crowd of that size is something special and that won't be forgotten regardless of the outcome of their footballing careers. | Forum Thread | Interesting stat that Sturat Watson mentioned in his article this morning at 13:36 17 Apr 2022
Over the last 10 games we have amassed 14 points and scored 8 goals. It's probably only been the last couple of games in that run we'd ruled ourselves out of the play off running. I suppose the point I'm making is for all the hope we had of trying to gate crash the top 6, the endless posts of 'if we win the next 5,6 or 7 matches we'd get in the promotion shake up,' the reality was we weren't really pulling up any trees and our form was no better than a midtable side who were drawing too may games. | Forum Thread | Baggott a very decent league debut at 14:51 16 Apr 2022
He showed he can cope with the step up to the first team. Thought he looked very assured against some seasoned professionals. Hope he plays the in our remaining fixtures. Got to say, I found that 2nd half hugely underwhelming. KM might have more on his hands than I first appreciated in the summer. If Burns isn’t firing, we really lack ideas in that final third. | Forum Thread | Anyone seen Arnie’s message about the war on social media? at 08:44 19 Mar 2022
Thought he spoke absolutely brilliantly about the situation in the Ukraine. Hope the Russian people get an opportunity to view it for themselves, instead of having to swallow their government’s propaganda nonsense. It’s 9mins long, but a really good listen..here’s a link

 | Forum Thread | We need to find ways to beat these better L1 sides at 17:20 12 Mar 2022
Since we’ve been in this league we just haven’t been able to consistently beat the better sides. I’m not sure what our overall record is, but I doubt it makes for good reading? Although it is still mathematically possible to reach the play offs, I just think we’ve got too much to do especially as other sides keep finding ways to win their games. I see Oxford now have won 5 of their last 6. There’s no doubt KM has done brilliantly since arriving at our club, but finding that formula to beat the good sides is something he and is coaching staff need to work out because we’ve been poor in our execution for the last 3 seasons and it makes all the difference in a promotion chase. Hopefully, next year will be the year! |
 | Forum Thread | Our current form at 06:11 6 Mar 2022
It’s incredible to think, for the form we’ve had for a sustained period now that we still find ourselves 9th! Based on the last 8 games, those sides we need to be slipping up are still either ahead or around us in that form table which highlights they are in very decent form themselves. The games against Oxford, Portsmouth and Plymouth now become huge for me, win those and that pulls us closer to where we want to be. I know the focus is the top 6 sides currently and we keep comparing ourselves to them, but Portsmouth and Plymouth are quietly sitting pretty and getting the job done with little attention. Both are right in the mix, although on the cusp of the play offs they are in very good form with games in hand on their rivals. I normally much prefer points in the bag, than games in hand but those 2 sides seem to be winning games consistently at the moment. It’s worth keeping an out on these two as the games begin to countdown, they both seem like those annoying wasps that simply won’t go away quietly. [Post edited 6 Mar 6:46]

 | Forum Thread | Lots of little digs at Cook but at 09:35 20 Feb 2022
the clearance of the squad was very much needed and he certainly brought in players that had the potential to improve us, which KM is getting out of them now. PC might not have gone about it in the right way, but that squad needed clearing out and freshening up that was something that PC did get right. [Post edited 20 Feb 9:37]
