U18s at Boro in Youth Cup

Disappointing for both set of lads that this fixture isn't being played at The Riverside Stadium, takes away the prestige of the tie.

Cook: Fleetwood Performance Not Acceptable But We Are Good Enough to Go Up
at 15:45:28

It will be interesting tomorrow against Portsmouth we need a reaction from the players after that poor display at Fleetwood on Tuesday. Portsmouth are now a different proposition to the Portsmouth side from 7 days ago with the Cowley's appointment. Sadly, our squad of players have let us down too many times before to have much optimism and I can see a defeat at Fratton Park, but an improved performance.

Town Takeover Stalls
at 17:25:25

If ME stays we aren’t progressing as a club. Cook will get us so far on the pitch and then he’ll hit the glass ceiling under our owner. We are in a desperate need for fresh ideas and a new approach from those at the very top, under ME we have gone stale, we need this takeover to happen otherwise we’ll just encounter the same old problems even with the appointment of a decent first team manager.

Chambers: A Disappointment But We've Another Game Tuesday
at 10:32:12

Probably the right way to look at it now in the cold light of day. What's going to be important is how our players react after that defeat. At least the games are coming thick and fast and there's little time to dwell on the last result and performance.

Gill: Strength in Depth Will Certainly Help Us
at 12:34:14

Strength in depth to do for what? Avoid relegation? I can't see a lot else happening with this management team. Slowly slipping down that table and the games against those sides that really matter in L1 we can't even muster a draw against. Woeful!

Mills: This is Truly Dragging Its Feet Now

Well said Mick Mills, it's a pity that our hapless owner keeps listening and getting advice from the wrong people. How this situation is being allowed to keep going on is anyone's guess?

Taylor: Dare I Say It, There Will Be Some Sort of Squad Rotation
at 11:33:45

Play your best available side and play players in their favoured positions, it's not difficult. Although our coaching staff try to make out it's the equivalent of rocket science. I appreciate this season is a little unprecedented, but when you are making 6 changes a game that's just ludicrous. I'd like to see how many changes Lincoln City make with their squad for games between now and the end of the season or any of those sides above us currently. We're fortunate that we have a big squad to select from, but that doesn't always result in us picking up points from games. Invariably, we've been disjointed in most cases when adopting this selection policy and appeared undercooked.

Taylor: Signings Will Give Us Positivity and Impetus Going Forward
at 15:14:33

The two new signings are very decent and will improve us. However, the main issues are the manner in which we play and how we are set up. When you look at all the analytical stats, we certainly aren’t setting the world alight, if anything it reflects a bang average L1 side. Hopefully, Harrop and Thomas will inject the squad with a fresh enthusiasm and impetus, but unless PL and ST change their approach and acknowledge that certain things aren’t working instead of blind faith persisting then we’ll continue to flatter to deceive this season.

Lambert Won't Compromise Beliefs
at 13:47:26

It's not necessarily compromising beliefs, but recognising aspects that aren't working and adjusting accordingly. The fact our passing is so slow and laboured can be seen by all, even the Sky Sports'' commentary team made reference to it and they rarely watch us, that's been a constant problem since he's been here. The fact we don't create much in games and generally lack ideas in the final third is yet another issue, but once again little is done about it. Also, we don't always have to play out from the back either, mix things up and go long at times, it doesn't mean we're a long ball side. I'm just not convinced he knows how to address and rectify these issues which is more the concern, rather than it's actually compromising his principles.

The time for excuses is now up. Time for you and your boss to do the decent thing and walk away. We’ve seen what you can offer and sadly chaps it’s just not good enough. Thanks for all your hard work, but the time is right for someone new to come in with fresh ideas and a new approach.

Back to Basics for Blues Against Bottom Club Burton
at 07:28:17

Here's a few basic suggestions: Pass and move, moving the ball 'forwards' with purpose and pace, getting more players forward when we attack and getting defenders switched on to mark up? I've not got my UEFA coaching badges, but it's not rocket science PL, although you try and make it more complicated than it should be. If all those are basic aspects of the game, why haven't you not identified those earlier? Utterly clueless.

Lambert on Owner's Backing Ahead of 100th Town Game
at 11:05:31

You 'CAN' control the outside stuff PL by setting your teams up to produce decent performances and winning games on the pitch. Both these aspects are becoming few and far between. For someone of his playing and managerial calibre he really does speak a load of BS.
