 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-3 West Ham United - Match Report at 18:20:42
What a ‘shambles’ that campaign has been. Simply can’t lay a glove on teams just above us either even with all that outlay during the transfer windows! No home points in 2025, let that sink in. It really has been a poor effort since the turn of the year, where we have been really exposed to our own limitations. It’s been Groundhog Day watching this Town side this season, same mistakes game after game, but nothing corrected. |
 | News Comment | Coventry City 1-4 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 21:42:10
Hirst is a different type of forward to Delap, the way he played today holding the ball up and bringing others into play, you just felt something was going to happen if he was involved. It’s a shame that KM can’t incorporate both of them in a starting XI in the EPL. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 Southampton - Match Report at 18:23:16
We aren’t going to get a better opportunity to get 3pts this season and simply blew it. For me, we just aren’t good enough to compete at this level and that result today has served to confirm my view. Wolves will stay up, the 3 promoted teams are heading straight back down. |
 | News Comment | Glasner: Win Was Deserved Overall at 03:49:23
They had more nous than us all over the pitch. The goal was the only real bit of quality in the game, but there lies the difference. You can argue it’s small margins, but these sides have that quality that we lack to turn a point into three. |
 | News Comment | Liverpool and Manchester City Up First For Town at 12:49:21
I'm glad we have got these two first. They won't be firing on all cylinders and with so many of their players involved in the Euros and Copa America they maybe a little more tired and jaded than usual. At the end of the day, we have to play them at some point, get them out of the way our season won't be defined by results against teams like: Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool but it will provide a good marker for us early doors to show what we are up against. |
 | News Comment | Farke: We Controlled the Game in All Aspects at 17:40:40
It’s hard to disagree with those comments. I thought Leeds were very good today and were very dominant as the game wore on. The fact we never tested their keeper shows how in control of the game Leeds were. Both them and Southampton are starting to find their feet, both those sides are going to be a serious threat. Good we’ve got another game so soon, it doesn’t get any easier though but it will be interesting to see how we respond. |
 | News Comment | Orient Confirm Pigott Signing at 07:32:56
A good move for Pigott. Orient are lacking a cutting edge as they head into L1, he’ll certainly give them a cutting edge. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Not Our Best Performance But an Incredible Season at 15:56:31
The aim was promotion at the start of this campaign, job done. Looking forward to the summer with the transfer rumours and the build up to the start of next season. Well done to all concerned with the club, it's been a terrific season both on and off pitch, certainly the start of a resurgence for us, you can feel it. |
 | News Comment | Town Announce £12.6m Loss at 12:13:03
It makes me wonder why anyone would want to own a club? Apart from the big 5 or 6, the rest run at a loss. There's got to be something in it for them though? |
 | News Comment | Former Blues Defender Wilson to Skipper Argyle at 12:26:45
A solid professional who has done a very good job for Plymouth, but is he the type of defender KM would want for us with our style of football? No. Tomorrow's game gives us the ideal time to show our quality and close the gap on Plymouth at the top. 3pts is a must. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Burnley Tie a Really Good Draw at 06:22:23
Following on from the Rotherham tie, this will be a very good indicator of where we are at under KM. Burnley are playing some great football under VK and look a completely different side to the Burnley under Sean Dyche. Should be a good game and played in the right manner too. |
 | News Comment | Bumper Home Crowd For Boxing Day Clash at 07:27:38
If you're an opposition player you must look forward to playing at PR. A very decent stadium and pitch with a 20k+ crowd in attendance, who wouldn't enjoy playing at our ground? It's not often in L1 they'd be playing in front of crowds that size, it must be a motivating factor. |
 | News Comment | Wright: We're Going Through a Recruitment Process at 15:34:52
Also, the flipside ButchersBrokenNose. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the beast they aren't all going to make it as professional footballers and have long and prestigious playing careers at the highest level or even at L2, but helping them arrange trials at other clubs or signposting them into other careers would probably provide a smoother exit strategy than simply telling them they aren't good enough or won't be offered a professional contract due to reasons X,Y and Z. Furthermore, checking their progress and seeing if they require additional support after they've left the club. Feel all clubs should make a point of doing this, it's a huge disappointment getting released and challenging to overcome initially, it would provide the club with greater kudos, highlighting they are looking after the welfare of these young players both on and off pitch. |
 | News Comment | Wright: We're Going Through a Recruitment Process at 11:47:02
Have the club got or considered a role for ‘Player Care' for their Academy players? Not just developing them as players on the pitch, but someone that can help them off it and develop them as people by enhancing their life skills and personal development? Just a thought. |
