Feels like the life is being slowly sucked out of the club
at 18:15 28 Nov 2020

We are in such a mess. I do worry the longer PL stays, injuries mounting up and player’s confidence sapped should we be worrying about relegation? We just look a side that’s clueless, toothless and lacking ideas. Is it just me who thinks this could just spiral if it is allowed to drift by ME?

Did we see this from ITFC Analytics?!

Lambert: “They’re getting balls across the box, we’re getting good play around about the box”

11th in L1 for xG
13th in L1 for shots per game
16th in L1 for touches in box
18th in L1 for crosses
21st for % of play in opposition third

Those stats say it all, especially the last one...damning!

Watching Leeds United counter-attacking, hope PL is taking notes.

That’s how you do it effectively with pace, in numbers and with purposeful passing. Not at the speed of tortoises and passing the ball backwards so the opposition can get back in their defensive positions.

PL dodged a bullet!
Sheffield United look a team in trouble

Striking options of McGoldrick, Brewster and McGurnie aren’t going to fire them to EPL safety. Although I appreciate they have spent millions on Brewster and McGurnie, that’s probably the going rate for a striker in this league, with Brewster it’s very much on potential. Also, Ramsdale isn’t anywhere near a like for like replacement for Henderson in the Blades’ goal, he’s proving a huge loss for them. It’s going to be a struggle for Chris Wilder to keep them up this season.

Watching Australia vs NZ in the Tri Nations
at 09:55 7 Nov 2020

Highlights how professional sport really misses the crowds, especially the atmosphere. Quite surreal really, after months of no spectators due to Covid. A great game so far if interested, a very physical contest.

Another win for Wycombe last night
at 07:14 5 Nov 2020

The way they started the Championship season probably wasn't too much of a surprise from watching them last season, but unbeaten in the last 3 games with 2 wins. Perhaps finding their feet now?
A decent performance but
at 21:31 3 Nov 2020

yet again we just aren't creating enough chances to score goals. Two extremely poor refereeing decisions have cost us tonight, however 3 attempts at goal, 1 on target isn't enough for us to win games like these against our closest promotion rivals. The possession stat is impressive, especially away from home, but that isn't going to win games for us if we continue to be shot-shy.
Is youth football now on lockdown?
at 20:23 1 Nov 2020

I know there are a few on this forum that are involved in youth/junior football in various capacities, would be grateful if anyone could confirm whether youth football now is on lockdown for the next 4 weeks? Thanks in advance.

3 points and another 1-0 victory......
at 17:07 31 Oct 2020

but it's turning into a real struggle once again. We're really making these games a lot more difficult than what they should be and we've not looked convincing once again. If anything, I'm sure Crewe will be extremely disappointed not to have at least a point to show for their good play today. I should be a lot happier and celebrating a win, but it just reminds me of last season yet another match where we've ground out a result instead of playing with flair and superiority. We play like that again on Tuesday at Sunderland, then I can see another loss against a Top 8 side.
We're the team from last season
at 15:52 31 Oct 2020

As each game passes we're slowly morphing into that ineffective side that finished last season. Outplayed by Crewe during that first half with too many players we have to carry in our side. Just finding every game recently is now becoming a struggle, just so reminiscent of traits from the last campaign.
How do we see Usyk vs Chisora going on Saturday night?

This might be closer than many are predicting.
EFL clubs look set to reject EPL's £50m offer

If true, where do clubs go from here?

The more you read about Brentford's transfer success
at 07:25 12 Oct 2020

It's hard not to feel that this is the best way forward. Another one of their players could potentially be sold for £30m. Top recruitment by them, but this isn't achieved through good fortune, they seem to do it time and time again.
