£11.50 for haddock and chips.

On the plus side there was no queue.

Paid about £9 in Brixham recently for a takeaway but it was a spectacularly good piece of chunky hake against which any other battered fish will in future be measured.

Around six quid or so sounds about right doesn't it.

I wouldn't be so rude as to walk away once I'm there and was happy enough to order and offer my modest support, but admittedly I will think twice at that money next time.

£11.50 for one person for pity's sake. It is usually £12 for a sit down fish and chips in a local restaurant so heck knows what that is now.

I got an excellent haddock, chips and mushy peas in the TableTable restaurant , (Ormonde) in Newmarket on Tuesday evening. That was just under £12.

If I could get to Brixham for the £2.50 difference I'd be down there like a shot!
