I don't think it was that story which led to imminent becoming a TWTD meme but Richard Wright when he was due to sign for the second time. From what I was told afterwards, Town thought he was going to sign, he thought he was going to sign but no one talked to one another and he was worried that he wasn't going to get signed and signed for West Ham instead! I don't think it was as it was someone else's story, although I know where it came from, one of the players at the time who knew him told someone he was signing. But Sunderland came in for him and were able to offer him Premier League football. | | | |
