I've seen a few threads quite rightly praising Kyle Edwards recently and being very analytical / discussing who he should replace / what position etc.

My views simple - he's exciting. He has the ability to create and freshen things up in a game where things might be getting stale and repetitive and we are working the same channels in the same way again and again. We've been great this season in getting results that we wouldn't have previously. Our stats have been fantastic. But sometimes in games where we aren't getting the end product or stages of games we tend to repeat moves, crosses etc half heartedly with sometimes limited effectiveness but we achieve through sheer volume.

Edwards for me steps up in games of late and provides a flash of inspiration, energy, fresh approach, unpredictability and adds excitement for us fans, our players and a new challenge for the opposition.

So pleased for him recently and the squad as a whole. What an exciting time to be a town fan again with the mix of attributes we have in this squad

If/when Aluko returns he and Edwards could create havoc between them and be the key to unlocking any parked buses in the latter stages of the season

Agreed.

It can be difficult to create openings by passing the ball around teams when they choose to sit deep, as they often will against us in this division. If our player can instead beat a man then this changes that equation, resulting in an overlap or an unmarked player if a defender comes across to cover. Edwards is excellent at creating this option, you can see fear in the defence everytime he gets the ball.
