Lunch thread - what's everyone having? (Not had one for a while... 12:36 - Nov 8 with 2774 views | BlueBoots | ...thread that is, not lunch - I tend to have one around lunchtime everyday) Gone rogue today - fancied a bacon and brie sarnie, but decided to use hot cross buns instead of boring bread - nice red apple on the side to make the plate look healthy... What you all got?

Lunch thread - what's everyone having? (Not had one for a while... on 13:37 - Nov 8 by Tractor_Buck | Sliced Cheddar cheese and a thick dollop of Heinz Sandwich Spread on a granary roll. Food of the Gods. |
I’m glad you mentioned Heinz Sandwich Spread. Marvellous stuff. Not the low fat version - too thin and vinegary. Not sure about the budgie cage peasant bread though. Hard to beat fresh a crusty white bread, butter, good quality cheddar cheese sandwich for lunch. Plain, simple does the job. If I want to go all fancy Continental, then a thin layer of Heinz Sandwich S or Branstons Pickle. Today though as we are in the West Country, it’ll be full on brekkers, skip lunch, somewhere nice for dinner.

Wow, that is an awesome thing of beauty! I’d give it a go, though would probably sideline some of the onion. I like onion with cheese and the M&S C and O sandwich is a fine thing, but too much raw onion with cheese tends to kill it and my stomach. A sneaky burp of salad cream would be added though ðŸ‘ðŸ». I like the sound of that pub!
