He was deliberately misleading the public, as is the norm for his terrible party. If somebody's asylum application is still being processed then they are not here illegally. It's all dog whistle nonsense of the lowest kind. Disgusting.

Awful news that more lives have been lost today whilst attempting to cross the channel in treacherous weather conditions.

This is the only option the UK government has left for these desperate people. There are no safe routes to the UK for asylum seekers.
