Pompey Parking 23:01 - Dec 27 with 1324 views | Ely_Blue | Other than the obvious first choice of Gatwick where is the best place to park for the Pompey game? It’s been a good 20 years or more since I last went to Fratton Park so I can’t remember what the parking situation is like, I’ll be driving up from Bournemouth on Thursday evening with my son , also I assume it’s allocated seating and not unreserved seating? | |

Pompey Parking on 07:45 - Dec 28 with 1126 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | I have always just crawled around the small terraced roads near the cemetery, double checking any parking restrictions, but finding a space reasonably easily with a bit of patience. Not ideal if you are arriving close to kick off as could imagine that being a stressful ordeal, but if you give yourself plenty of time, no problem at all. I have never struggled to get away from there, although I have been soaked on the long walk back to the car on more than one occasion. I no longer attend this fixture home or away, as in 10 attempts I have not yet seen a win. So far I have missed two league wins and a draw, as well as a pizza cup loss, so I consider it my civic duty not to be there. Enjoy the game, and may your attendance bring us better luck. I'm pretty sure, the pub is The Good Companion (2 Eastern Road). Good for exiting Portsmouth too. [Post edited 28 Dec 2022 10:43]
