That's true, but they do also have an excellent goalscoring record at home too, which is masked by their less than prolific stats away from home. 40 goals in 17 home games. That's pretty prolific. The only other team in the whole EFL to have scored 40 goals at home is Burnley, and they've taken one more game to do it. Although even away from home, Wednesday are the only side to score more than twice as many as they concede. Just scoring one more than the opposition is always enough. They take /enough/ of their chances in /enough/ games. Sadly we don't do so, at least for a top 2 finish. It may be that their substantial home support really helps drive them on, or it might be that they are deliberately less expansive away from home. Or both. But either way, they don't have too many weaknesses. And most crucially of all, they are on the winning side in almost two thirds of games, compared with only just over half for Ipswich. You're right though, that's one tight defence. |  |
