We have seen that with Morsy/Humphreys, Morsy plays deeper and Humphreys gets bullied a bit so also has to sit deeper.
With Evans/Humphreys we have seen Evans struggle playing deep
With Morsy/Evans we have played well.
With Morsy/Luongo we have played well.
Essentially Morsy can cover the defensive side if he has strength in his midfield pairing. The perfect double pivot has been a fully fit Evans and a Morsy clear of cards. |  |

The acid test for Luongo, would be starting alongside Humphreys, against decent opposition ,imo. (Should Morsy get suspended/injured)So far, hes played all his minutes with Morsy in there with him.
