How many on here are getting a ST next year? 07:03 - Mar 24 with 3859 viewsEssexBloo

I’ve not had one for about 15 seasons but will be getting one next year again.

Would it be a reasonable target to have 20,000 ST holders?

Hard one for me. I have the grandson, he's 5, stay over on a Friday night and when we are away or a Saturday I don't go he doesn't go home until Saturday evening. He doesn't have a father figure so Grandad is his male influence in life. Our bond is unbelievable. If I get a season ticket I'll have to lose some Saturdays with him. I go to quite a few home games and he goes back to his mum in the morning but I don't want to do that every other week. I love him so much and I love football too. Life eh

I’d love to hear anyones reason (football only) for if they weren’t going to get one.

We’ll be good again... one day

I’d get him one as well. So cheap for kids so it won’t really matter if he doesn’t go to all the games. I know 5 is maybe a bit young but it’s a good chance to get him a season ticket while you can. Only going to get harder the more successful we get!

I thought of that too. I might go down that road.

If I had the spare money, would be semi-tempted despite living far away and being unable to make more than a couple of home games a season - just to make it more possible to get away tickets closer to home. Think we're going to be selling out allocations at some grounds even in the Championship (we were at times even in the pre-relegation era).

Where are you based? Would a s/t share work with someone in another part of the country? I’d consider but difficult for the same reasons as you.

I got my first ever season ticket this season. I'm in my 50's and have supported Town all my life.

Portman Road is the furthest League One ground from my home at around 230 miles.
I decided that if I could get to half the home games this eason, I would be doing well and it would almost break even on the cost of buying individual tickets.

I have ended up going to all but three home games and 14 away games, which is far more than I expected to be doing. I have enjoyed the season so much, and have made some good friends in my region through following ITFC. Last weekend I passed the 10,000 mile barrier for distance travelled watching town (and I know other fans who have far exceeded that already).

I will 100% be renewing my ticket, I may not make it to quite as many games next season, but whatever league we end up playing in, I am expecting it to be another entertaining season. With McK in charge, we are only going to get better.

Absolutely renewing as is everyone who sits around me (although hoping the moaners near us decided to move elsewhere - preferably out of the ground!). Pretty confident we'll get to 20k, which is incredible really
