this is a truly remarkable and historic season. Four teams have pushed each other and themselves to quite unprecedented levels of performance. Already with 2-3 games to go, we have 3 teams that have hit 90 points plus. Its reminiscent of records in athletics, where a record stand for donkeys years and then two or three athletes come along and push each other to smash it to smithereens.
Yes, I know there have occasionally been teams that have hit 100 points. But to do it when there are three other teams also hitting 90+ points is incredible. It will be so cruel to the team from the top 4 that doesn't make it, and would be criminal if two of the top 4 miss out. A really special season, and hopefully we are now within touching distance of automatic promotion. Can we get 3 points on Tuesday? After today, it looks more likely than not. |  |
