BP have returned better than expected profits, a healthy $5bn which isn't too much down on their record profiteering in the same time period last year: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-65453952

It's a good job the world isn't on fire and regular folk aren't struggling with the cost of heating their homes and filling up their cars. A functioning society surely wouldn't tolerate this kind of profiteering otherwise.
