Real Madrid are hardly bankrupt. They get funded highly by an even television deal in Spain which really benefits them and Barcelona over the rest. |
It has little to do with the television deal, assuming Barça have the same deal.
Perez is a very rich man as chairman of one of Spain's largest construction companies but it doesn't appear that he is the direct source of their finances either. Anyway, in theory, he could, and at some time will be voted out as he is the president of Real Madrid, he's not the owner.

In terms of La Liga they have an advantage though, looking at the amounts, they're barely anything compared to the money spent on players etc.! |  |
