Not only do we have a very tasty looking side on paper with everyone playing in their preferred position, but we now have an outrageous amount of flexibility within the squad to change tactical approaches and dynamics in-game. Hirst can play on the right of a three, Jackson on the right or up top, Edwards either side, Harness likewise, Chaplin or Broadhead up top, Burns as a winger or wing back, Taylor as a 6 or an 8, Clarke on the left or further forward on the right, Leigh and Davis have both played at centre back in a three, Ball can seemingly play most places. I doubt we'd need it but Wolf also seems to have some serious attributes in a DM slot if we were desperate. The quality we have is one thing and we look very well equipped, but have to say I'm seriously impressed with how McKenna is shaping up to eek out every possible opportunity from a fixed squad size and am hugely confident he would know what he's doing if we had to change little things in matches. Also think the 9 subs is going to be fantastic for us as well in this respect. Really allows us to involve everyone in the squad in places they can affect the outcome of matches regularly.
