His technical ability is impressively high and it stood out in midfield more often than not last season. Feel like he often goes under the radar with many Town fans but his critical importance to the way we play cannot be overstated.
Whenever he’s not on the pitch in the Championship this season we will suffer without a shadow of a doubt. He does an excellent job protecting the defence and is equally good at starting attacks from deep with his clever movement, mental composure and range of passing.
I rate him so highly that I think he’s the most important player at the club and probably one of the most proficient all-round midfielders we’ve had in my lifetime. I hope he plays as many minutes as physically possible this season.

Quite agree.. He's been super consistent from day one. You have to say, that if Cook wasn't here, Morsy may have never pulled on a Town shirt.
Easily, imo, our most important player. And even after 4 Windows since he got here. We have yet to recruit a bona fide replacement/back up. Such is the difficulty.

Agreed, he is quality. The only thing that goes against him is his age, and yet if he was a few years younger, Prem teams would be coming in for him because he's that good. The way he plays and his fitness levels, should be able to squeeze another 3 years out of him hopefully. |  | | |
