Impression before I read others’ views. We kept going. That’s a mighty important trait. I thought we started well, but Cardiff grew into the game putting in a classic ‘away’ performance until about 60 mins. We looked weak and vulnerable down Clarke’s side and the midfield was getting squeezed out. When it went 2-0 I thought ‘that’s our lot’. Wrong. I usually am. We kept at it. Broadhead’s goal looked a pearler even from the other end. We then had a really good spell. What a turnaround. Did we deserve the win? Draw would have been fair but I care not a jot. Brilliant win Lladky - excellent. Really pleased for him. Clarke - good going forward, getting fitter. But he was exposed far too often defensively Davis - our best player, as usual. Barely put a foot wrong. Woolfy and Burgess - did just fine. A few careless passes but by and large good. Those who think they can’t play championship, think again. Morsy - not his best game but got through a lot of work Luongo - not bad. Got swamped in midfield a bit but got better as the game went on Chaplin - worked hard, not his best game Burns - see Chaplin Broadhead - improved as the game went on and what a goal Hirst - didn’t look fit from the start. Good effort first half though Taylor - impressed. I think he will be in the first team sooner rather than later Ladapo - does what he does with all the limitations. Two goals, boom! Pleased for him. Hutchinson - much better. He scared them. Looked happier too. Williams - he did well. Those who’ve slagged him off might need a rethink Ref: terrible. Overall. Great entertainment and an even better result. And Norwich lost. Happy days. | |
