Leicester away on 22:04 - Dec 8 by X0Y0 | Most people don’t oppose all games on Sky. It’s just the ridiculous times, like Monday evening, for long distance away fixtures that don’t take traveling fans into consideration. For the ‘average’ fan who follows a typical working week, the change to a Monday will impact both the Monday and Tuesday workdays. Sky subscribers could still watch it if it was on the Sunday, but of course in reality they mostly wouldn’t because they would choose to watch the premier league instead at that time. So it’s only really of benefit to non-ITFC Sky subscribers. |
Leicester isn’t a long distance fixture… couple of hours, allowing for traffic will be home by 1am. Still much more inconvenient than a Saturday / Sunday game.

Every time the PL sign a new TV deal, there are more live fixtures. Obviously, these extra TV games are all going to be scheduled at away fan unfriendly times as the weekend slots are already taken & Saturday at 3:00 is still considered sacrosanct in deference to the Football League. The only answer to this is to reduce the number of live TV games, but do you really think the money driven PL is going to do that?
