If we’d been in the top ten and pushing for play offs it would have meant more. As it is we’re 10 points clear of third with 2 massive games to look forward to. We’ll be in an automatic promotion place at the start of 2024 even if we lost all remaining games this year (we wont’t of course, not a chance). We’re so far ahead of them I haven’t even checked the gap. We battered them even if we didn’t win. In a way them celebrating a point how they did is more satisfying than us narrowly winning and celebrating in a way that made them feel more important to us than they are right now.
As for Norwich fans calling it our cup final etc. They’ve missed the point. The coach welcome, banners and atmosphere weren’t really about the game yesterday. It was a celebration that we had caught up with them, overtaken them and that we’re on the up, they’re going in the other direction.
