24 (not counting Williams as assuming he's not coming back), so we can bring one in without having to move anyone on. Al-Hamadi I think wouldn't count towards the limit this season, being 21 at the start of last year, but if we want someone else in addition to Gallagher, assuming he signs, we'll need to get rid of someone or deregister them. |  |

Hayes wasn't part of the 25 man squad, so the first reply to the OP is correct; Sarmiento and Travis took us to 26, sending Ladapo out on loan got us back to 25. [Post edited 26 Jan 8:08]
