9 points off Leeds with 2 games in hand and still to play them òn the last day.

10 behind Leicester. 1 game un hand and play them in 2 weeks.

After Saturday they play 4 times before we play again, when both them and Leeds will have just one game left - against each other.

Saturday we have to win, but if Southampton win their next 2 home games vs Watford and Preston then they'll have a real chance to disrupt Leeds and Leicester.

they could still feasibly get one of the auto promotion places by end of final game ? It's a long shot but with games over others and yet to face off with both Leeds and Leicester the chance is there they could actually do it. It's unlikely but distinct possibility all the same.

Martin team coach has made a name for himself this season and guess will be a target for other club names wanting to improve or take a chance should or when he decides to vacate position. He's a former NCFC player and while you can never wash that sin from your soul credit where it's due he's provided Southampton a chance this season and within reach of a standout achievement.
