What a couple of years and what a couple of days!
Quickly shifting from what felt like weeks of nothing going on in the transfer marketing to suddenly having lots of interesting leads seemingly coming together in the last couple of days.
My refresh button is worn out
I think Phillips could be sensational for us, as could we for him with the McKenna touch and hopefully getting him enjoying his football again. I assume that as McKenna and co like him he must have the right attitude and ethic
I think that's been key to our success tbh as instilled by Mckenna, the teamwork, application and dedication. The idea that you aren't always going to be the best but if you're the fittest and most applied that you stand a chance.
The real challenge here is to keep that approach whilst adding some additional quality too, and that takes time and assessment of characters. Getting that perfect mix of potential (or resurrection in Phillips case and those that can deliver day 1). Personally I'm still fingers crossed for Szmodics too as I think he could add a lot straight away.
Broja less so and might take more time but would be a fantastic addition as well as szmodics, rather instead of in my mind [Post edited 15 Aug 2024 14:28]
