The fall was long and hard to take..... 09:30 - Aug 17 with 593 viewsmuccletonjoe

But the rise came about in less than 3 years !
Which is very often the case in football.
What was the turning point ?
The one thing which started the wheels in motion in league one 3 years ago and got us to today , playing Liverpool in the Premier league?
Some might say the appointment of McKenna or the hiring of Ashton as CEO. Or the signing of a skipper of the calibre of Morsy.
It wasn't.
If you want to know what really sparked our revival, it might not be so palatable to some, but it was Marcus Evans decision to write off nearly £100 million in debt and making us an attractive option to buy into. That was our saving grace.

Also him not flogging us to the first buyer who came along, but waiting for someone who could do a decent job and take the club forwards.

Which was quite responsible of him, given the financial losses and the acrimony.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

What ever his faults , he tried he failed , but he sold us to a decent outfit. We owe him at least a little bit of thanks .
