|If anything good can ever COME from relegation...|
at 09:35 14 Apr 2019
It will be the extra game time given to our young players.
Kenlock, Nydam , Wolfenden and Lankester are all very good footballers , and if they mature during next season, we will have a very good foundation for the even younger players we have coming up behind them in the under 18s.
It is the ONLY way forward for this football club now and something which should have been implemented years ago.
That it is not , is the most damning legacy Mick McCarthy has left for this club.

I think it will happen tomorrow. Whether I am right or wrong in that assumption it remains a glaring fact , that after 60 years in the top 2 divisions , we have been relegated with very little fight, desire or pride.
Thinking back over those 60 years, the players I've seen, the managers we have had, and of course the success we achieved. I can't help but look at Evans , the coaching staff and the players.
All of them should hang their heads in shame. We have gone out with barely a whimper.
|Lambert. Will he , won't he ?|

As he quite clearly says in his post match interview yesterday, "wait and see what happens at the end of the season".
Everyone able to breathe knows we are getting relegated , so is it something happening as a result of going down to league one ?
Has Evans , despite the state of the club on and off the field , found some mysterious buyer who will be revealed after relegation, ? And if this is the case, will he want his own manager.
Or is it simply that Lambert , despite saying all the right words to supporters, really doesn't fancy trying to turn a team around with no money who has failed to win every game since he took charge with only 2 exceptions?
Whatever is in the pipeline , it appears Lambert is no longer to be seen as a certainty to walk out of the tunnel at Portman road next August, given yesterday's performance I would put that fact in the plus column in all honesty.

You would say 10 out of 10. He has connected supporters new and old to the club.
On the field , however, it is a mess.
He will be given time to change that, which is more than other clubs would give a manager with his results over the past 4 months.
Next season we need to see that time being put to better use.
Ultimately I predict that , even though supporters desperately want him to put the side together to bring us back up, I think we are in for a lengthy stay in league one and the job of assembling a promotion team will fall to someone else.
