The Amex, Jonny WIlliams and such... 09:31 - Sep 13 with 835 viewsFunge

... last time I went here we won 2-0, in the 'good' season under Mick - Tommy Smith with a messy goal, close-in, and Daryl Murphy finish after very good work from Jonny Williams.

Both right in front of Towun, and Williams gave it very big licks in front of all the Brighton fans when we made it 2-0, what with the Palace connection and all that.

Well good day.

Pretty nice away day, really; from recollection they put a 'guest' beer behind the bar from wherever they're playing - hopefully it will be Adnams as opposed to Greene King.

There was also the bannergate game which I think we lost either 2 or 3 nil, we were hot piss that day.

February 2014, the start of Murphy's brilliant 18 months of form. That was one of those great away days where the whole away end was loud throughout and lots of Brighton fans took it really badly. We followed it up with the late 2-1 win over Derby (Williams and Berra) three days later.

We lost there in 14-15 though, an annoying one as the away form tailed off under Mick but won again in December 2015, another win that upset loads of Brighton fans.

The banner game must have been in 11-12, a 'classic' Paul Jewell non-performance probably memorably only for that banner and it being a new ground for virtually all of us.
