Nevermind cover songs. What about cover albums? Booker T and the MGs' take on The Beatles' Abbey Road is fantastic. Check this snippet out.

As I inadvertantly reposted Phil's contribution, it's only right to add a different piece from this very fine album.

Edit: It now seems I didn't double post, but for some reason the clip in Phil's post was the same as mine, but now it isn't.
No idea how that works. But on the plus side, we do now have extra Booker T/Beatles which is never a bad thing.
