I've watched a number of Wycombe's games this year, so a few thoughts. On the ball, Humphreys is awesome. Twists and turns, beautiful passer, creates space. Creator of many chances and can beat a man. Bit like Broadhead in that way. He's playing as a 10, not as a midfielder. Works incredibly hard defensively. Great energy. Up for tackling. Real team man who delights in success of team mates. Bit stronger than last year but still quite slight of stature. Feels like his career is just beginning, a bit like Leif Davis when he joined us, perhaps. If he takes Leif's trajectory, that would be marvelous! Though he is probably playing to a system, he could be at the heart of it all a bit more. Not always involved, and can appear to be away from the action. I'd say he is in the perfect loan. Oodles of potential still. I'd bet he's being watched by many teams. A full season in the Championship next year will help determine how far he can go. PL? - not yet, but maybe in 18 months time?
