This is the problem isn't it - democracy (and I would argue, capitalism/free enterprise) is becoming the victim of it's own success. More than one generation - certainly in the developed world - have grown up not knowing true oppression, or starvation, or immediate threat of invasion and war. They take the relative comfort we all live in for granted. |  |
