I think many need a reality check. I say this because if for instance you look at a Man Utd. Whatever people say they have some very, very decent players but have struggled for many seasons now. You could say it's the managers and equally the players and Utd have over the years overpaid for many they have bought. When you take the millions they have spent against what Town have just spent the Town's spending is minute. Teams like Spurs, Newcastle and Everton who have far more than Town aren't successful when taking into account ground capacity and spending. Man City have over 100 fair play claims against them and it could be said they have bought success. Mind you it still follows that the right players need buying. But for the outlay has Grealish justified his £100 million price tag ? We are smalll fry plying our Championship and loan players against multi million pound teams so we need to take a step back, realise how lucky we are to be in this league with a full stadium week in, week out against the dire years of Marcus Evans. A run down stadium, a run down team. Where promises were made and broken, where a major headline was painting the turnstiles. Give me today's ITFC any day. |  |
